Talents Empowered is a nonprofit started by Rebecca and her daughter, Emily. Today, Talents Empowered supports people and ministries all over the world.
TE provides college scholarships for orphans or destitute children who have managed to complete a secondary school in Tanzania. These children have dreams just as children here have dreams but they have no family to rely upon and no access to loans or grants. They have potential to become teachers, doctors, lawyers, accountants. TE’s hope is that these young people will return to their impoverished communities and become leaders.
The name has its origin in the book of Matthew, Chapter 25. The goal of Talents Empowered (TE) is to empower people who demonstrate a keen desire to use their talents to empower people. The results are exponential.
TE supports Hope Clinic in Guinea, where they fight Ebola and assist the Mercy Ships which perform life changing and life saving surgeries in a safe clean environment in ships off the coast of impoverished countries. TE also helps Pastor Dolo in Liberia, who leads a church in Liberia and aids in our distribution of student scholarships in-country. TE gives regularly to the Booker Family in Uganda, who are currently serving as home parents at Amazima school in Jinja, Uganda. TE supports our local missions such as Perry Volunteer Outreach (PVO), the Navigators, and Foster Family Support of Middle GA. 30% of all profits earned by the law office of Rebecca C. Moody, LLC, is donated to Talents Empowered.
Talents Empowered also relies on clients who make donations, give a final tithe in their Last Will and Testaments or Trusts, or choose to sponsor an orphaned child.
